Jammu, April 18 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples’ Forum (JKPF) will be paying tributes to those who attained martyrdom, while tearing down Pakistan’s evil designs during a function to be organised here on May 8.
Thousands of innocent people had lost lives after the Pakistan Army attacked Jammu and Kashmir on October 22, 1947.
The JKPF organised a function here on May 8, 2022 at Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Post Graduate College for Women, Gandhi Nagar to pay tributes to those martyrs and remind youth of areas of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir illegally occupied by Pakistan since 1947.
After the October 22, 1947 attack, Pakistan illegally captured Mirpur, Bhimbar, Kotli, Bagh Pulandri, Sadjyoti, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit, Baltistan and Poonch.
These areas are still under the illegal occupation of Pakistan and called PoJK.
Not only Pakistan has illegally occupied a huge portion after the October 22, 1947 attack, it also captured the Chhamb area of Jammu after 1964 and 1971 wars.

A resolution passed by the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples’ Forum on Monday said that Pakistan must vacate the areas of Jammu and Kashmir, which they have occupied through aggression.
In that large scale forced displacement within the country, a large population lost life, physical assets, social support and even honours of woman folk.
The resolution also stated that Parliament of India had passed a resolution on February 22, 1994.
“The state of Jammu and Kashmir has been and shall be an integral part of India and any attempts to separate it from the rest of the country will be resisted by all necessary means. India has a capacity to firmly counter all designs against its unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity,” said the resolution.
