Says Sopore Has Its Own Historical Importance, Identity

Sopore: Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) leader Feroze Peerzada has strongly advocated for a separate District Hospital for Sopore to provide adequate and better Medicare facilities to the fast growing population of the historic town.

In a statement issued to KNS, Feroze Peerzada has said that municipal limits of Sopore town have extended many folds during past decade when a sub district hospital was established to provide medical facilities to the people of the area.

He said that the town also houses the biggest Fruit Mandi of Northern India, which is being visited by hundreds of traders from outside the state and from nook and corner of the state on daily basis.

“Keeping in view these facts, the growing public demand for a full-fledged District Hospital for Sopore was just and genuine,” Feroze Peerzada asserted while urging the government to take necessary measures in this regard at the earliest.

JKPM leader said that Sopore town had its own historic identify and importance besides having a particular stake in the socio-political and economical arena of the state, which could not be over looked in any case. He said need for a separate District hospital for Sopore is being felt eagerly by the people of Sopore and its surrounding areas which needs to be fulfilled earnestly. (KNS)
