J&K’s Pankaj Malhotra, B S Tirthi nominated in Kho-Kho League’s technical panel

 International player and Veerjija Jijabai-Awardee Pankaj Malhotra, along with Indian Chief Coach and Sardar Rangil Singh-Awardee Bhupinder Singh Tirthi, have been nominated in the technical panel of Ultimate Kho-Kho League slated to held between August 14 and September 5.

As per official handout issued here on Saturday, the nominated sports personalities from Jammu and Kashmir are among 30 finalists secured a place in the League.

Total six teams owned by well renowned businessman Puneet Balan, Actor-Singer Badshah, Government of Odisha and others will be flexing muscles in the Ultimate Kho-Kho League.

The selection has been made based on technical expertise and experience in the field of Kho-Kho after qualifying different stages for 15 days.

Both Malhotra and Tirthi respectively performed in the fitness tests and mental abilities in the sport.

Recently nominated for Prof Chaman Lal Gupta Khel Ratna Sports Award 2022, the duo has been selected from across the UT of J&K for Ultimate Kho-Kho League.

Malhotra will join the league from August 20 to September 5 in the second group of experts while Tirthi is already in Pune for the league.

Former president Ram Nath Kovind is expected to be the special guest on the occasion, said the handout.
