Keep Vigil On Anti Social Elements, IG Pani To Security Agencies

Handwara: Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone, S.P Pani on Sunday directed security forces to keep vigil on elements inimical to peace.

Pani while interacting with the Central Armed Paramilitary Forces (CAPF) and personals of police said that the security agencies need to maintain the strong coordination to keep anti national elements under vigil.

He said that the prevailing peace in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district was only possible due to strong coordination and stringent efforts of security agencies.

DIG North Kashmir, Mohammad Suleman Choudhary-, Commander 7 Sector RR M.S. Rathore, SP Handwara Ashish Mishra besides other officers of the district were accompanying IGP Kashmir.

He complimented the officers for their dedication and commitment and urged upon them to continue their duties with same passion besides emphasized on the officials to adopt people-friendly practices while discharging their duties.

“It was only due to the joint efforts of forces and Police that peaceful situation was maintained in Handwara,” he said adding that the officials shall maintain a close liaison with the forces on the ground so as to thwart any attempts made at disturbing peace in the area.

He directed the officers to keep the inimical elements under check so that the normal lives of community members are not disrupted.

Further, he directed the officials to assist the community members in view of the difficulties arising due to the change in weather.

IGP stressed on strengthening the bonds with the public and facilitating police-public meets so that officers are quickly able to redress the problems faced by people on ground.

Later IGP Kashmir also chaired a security review meeting with the officers of the district in which the security considerations of the area were discussed.
