KU Students Protest Killing Of Civilian In Noorbagh, Srinagar

Srinagar: Students of Kashmir University staged a protest aginst the killing of a civilian at Baghwanpora area of Noorbagh, Srinagar allegedly in forces action on Thursday.

 

Reports said that the students started the protest demonstration from department of law and were shouting pro-freedom slogans.

 

The students marched within the premises of the varsity and students kept on joining the protesters as they marched ahead.

 

Later, the protesters dispersed off peacefully.

 

Earlier, a civilian Saleem Malik (26) son of Mohd Yaqoob killed at Baghwanpora Noorbagh and police claimed that the youth died in cross firing following an encounter between government forces and the militants. (GNS)
