Budgam:  An unemployed person from Central Kashmir Tuesday alleged that despite Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB)   approving loan in his favour, the Cooperative Bank Manager did not forward his documents after he refused to grease his palms.

“For the purpose of a Bakery Unit that I wished to set up on Srinagar-Gulmarg road near Kawosa Khalsa, Khadi and Village Industries Board approved a loan of Rs 2 lakhs in my favour in 2013. The Board forwarded the papers to the nearest State Cooperative Bank Branch Narbal. Despite fulfilling all the formalities and keeping a patch of land as mortgage with the Bank, the then Brach Manager refused to sanction the loan as I refused him to pay the bribe that he demanded from me,” Sabir Hussain Khan told CNS adding that from past two years he has been roaming from pillar to post seeking justice and action against the Bank Manager who has transferred from that Narbal Branch now.

“From past two years I have incurred more than Rs two lakhs as expenses while pursuing the case and till date nobody dared to seek reasons from the Bank Manager why he refused the sanction the loan when the KVIB had approved for the same in my favour,” he said and appealed authorities to look into the matter.
