A day after two militants, including most wanted TRF (The Resistance Front) Commander, were killed in an encounter during the anti-militancy operation, security forces established a fresh contact at Redwani Payeen area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday.
Sources said during the search operation of the area, (Militants) fired upon the security forces search party and the fire was effectively retaliated.
Security forces have intensified the cordon around the encounter site when the firing took place again today, they said.
However, there was no official confirmation about the firing.
The two militants who were neutralised were reportedly hiding inside a house on Tuesday.
The gun battle erupted on Monday night at Redwani Payeen after security forces launched an operation in the area following an input about militants presence.
