Rashtriya Lok Janshakti (RLJ) Party on Wednesday announced to support the Altaf Bukhari led Apni Party in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections in Kashmir valley.

Addressing a press conference here today RLJ Kashmir head Sanjay Saraf said that “after deliberations with the party cadre it has been decided to support Apni Party candidates in the Parliament elections”.

He said “even National Democratic Alliance is not contesting elections in Kashmir, a clear cut is there that without National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party the RLJ will support the Apni party”.

He said the NC and PDP are repeating the chords of Article 370 and 35A. “Everybody knows that for repealing the Article 370 there is a need of 300 members in the parliament and majority in the upper house besides the President’s nod on that”, he said and added “what else was left there these people had completed that with the stamp in the Supreme Court”.

He said RLJ during a meeting decided that Altaf Bukhari led Apni Party has a vision for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. “We have decided to support the Apni Party candidate for the Srinagar Parliamentary seat”, Saraf said.
