Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday visited Dardpora in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district and met the families of civilians killed by terrorists.
He also addressed the families of terror victims at Government Degree College Kupwara, assuring them of rehabilitation, dignity, and justice.
“Justice, respect and dignity to family members of civilian martyrs killed by Pakistan-backed terrorists is my top priority,” the Lieutenant Governor said, reaffirming his administration’s resolve to ensure fair treatment and closure for affected families.
“I have assured the family members that their decades-long trauma, torment and suffering are over. We will ensure all the support so that they can reclaim their lives,” he added.
LG Sinha observed that the families of civilian martyrs have endured immense trauma and were denied their rights and access to resources for decades. “All obstacles have now been removed, and we are ensuring justice and dignity for terror victim families,” he said.
Paying homage to the civilians killed by terrorists, the Lieutenant Governor said that around 250 terror victim families have already been provided government jobs, and the process will continue until every affected family receives justice.
He also mentioned the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the High-range Rural Development Society (HRDS India) and the Divisional Commissioners of Jammu and Kashmir, under which new houses will be constructed for terror victim families whose homes were destroyed by terrorists.
Calling out Pakistan’s propaganda machinery, LG Sinha said, “The Pakistani terrorists and their support system in the Valley ran a false narrative for three decades to absolve the terror nation of its sins. Pakistan, the breeding ground of terrorism, stands exposed, and those involved in peddling fake narratives will be brought to justice.”
Senior officials including Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg, DIG NKR Baramulla Maqsood-Ul-Zaman, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, SSP Kupwara Syed Al-Tahir Gilani, and representatives of the Save Youth Save Future Foundation attended the event.(KINS)
