LS Polls: Cash, liquor worth Rs 29L seized in J&K’s Kathua

 The enforcement teams on Thursday intercepted and seized cash and liquor valued at Rs 29,51,630 since the enforcement of Election Model Code of Conduct in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.


“The vigilant enforcement teams have demonstrated infallible commitment to uphold the sanctity of electoral process,” stated District Election Officer Kathua, who is also the Returning Officer for the Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency.


“We are determined to prevent any violation of the model code of conduct promptly and decisively,” he added.


As the Lok Sabha elections progress, the administration has urged the citizens to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities or violation of the poll code to the concerned authorities, he said.
