Magisterial enquiry ordered into alleged killing of 3 unknown militants at Kupwara

Srinagar, June 3 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday has ordered a Magisterial Enquiry into the alleged killing of three unknown militants during an anti-militancy operation at Jumagund in frontier Kashmir’s Kupwara district, an official spokesman said.

Three unknown militants were killed in an anti militancy operation by the security forces at Jumagund in frontier Kashmir’s Kupwara district on May 26, 2022.

ADC Kupwara Ghulam Nabi Bhat has issued a public notice today that “he has been nominated as Enquiry Officer by the District Magistrate, Kupwara to conduct a Magisterial Enquiry into the alleged killing of three unknown terrorists in an anti-militancy operation by security forces at Jumagund, Kupwara on May 26, this year”.

The ADC has asked general public, who are having any knowledge of the incident and are desirous to share the same with him, can attend his office on working days with effect from June 4 to June 15 of this month during office hours to get their statement recorded.
