Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of aged mother of Editor-in-Chief Daily Uqaab and writer Manzoor Anjum.
In a statement issued to KNO, Mirwaiz extended his heartfelt condolences with Manzoor Anjum and the bereaved family prayed for the departed soul.
Mirwaiz also expressed condolences with Bashir Ahmad Nehvi, expert of Iqbaliyat over the sad demise of his mother, Farooq Ahmad Dar Co-Chairman Economic Alliance over the demise of his father, with the bereaved families of Muhammad Amin Wani and Aijaz Ahmad Sofi both the members of Awami Action Committee who passed away recently.
In the meantime, a delegation comprising Muhammad Shafi Khan, Sufi Mushtaq Ahmad, Muhammad Yousuf Bhat, Ghulam Nabi Najar and Jaffer Kashmiri visited the bereaved families and held special prayers session for the departed soul. Mirwaiz also expressed sorrow on the death of seven Kashmiri laborers in a tragic incident in Uttrakhand and extended his sympathy to the bereaved families.(KNO)
