A large-scale search operation has been launched in the Bhatadhudia area of Mendhar subdivision following reports of suspicious movement in the region.
The operation as per news agency JKNS began early this morning under the directives of SSP Poonch, Shafqat Bhat.
A joint team comprising local police and the Special Operations Group (SOG) was swiftly mobilized, they said.
The operation is being led by ASP Mendhar, Mohan Sharma, and SP SOG Surankote, Sachin Gupta.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and are conducting intensive searches to track down any suspected elements.
Officials have confirmed that the movement was detected during routine surveillance, prompting immediate action.
