Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday extended Holi greetings to the nation, highlighting the festival’s ability to infuse new energy and bring happiness, prosperity, and success into people’s lives.
“The festival of Holi infuses the entire atmosphere with new energy. This is the greatest specialty of this celebration,” he said.
Applauding the spirit of the vibrant festival, Modi wrote on X that the sight of colours scattered everywhere leaves “everyone drenched in exuberance and joy.”
In his social media message, the Prime Minister also recalled a Sanskrit verse drawing a parallel between Holi and the lotus flower, both of which bloom in the spring breeze and symbolise renewal and awakening.
“Like beautiful lotus flowers blossoming under the mesmerising dance of the spring breeze, adorned with vibrant colours and fragrance, the glorious celebration of love flourishes exuberantly, filled with joyful melodies that awaken life itself,” the message read.
