The agitated parents this afternoon protested here and said that the school management lured them to admit their wards in the school at Bagh-e-Mehtab on the promise of quality education.

“The promise with us was never fulfilled. But the management spent our money to expand the school in different localities of the valley.”

They said the school owner claimed that his institution was affiliated with Mumbai’s Global Trust Education.

“Though we lodged our complaints with the GTE members, but nothing changed in the working of the school. Its buildings were not upgraded with time, and the quality education was only a mirage,” they said.

They said the best teachers were sacked by the management after they wanted hike in their salary.

“When we admitted our children in the school, the owner claimed that besides academic education, moral and religious education will also be imparted to the students, but nothing happened,” they said.

They said that the management has also arbitrarily hiked fees in violation to rules set by the government.

Later, after protests the aggrieved parents submitted a memorandum of their demands to the Director School Education, Kashmir. (KNS)
