Baramulla: The traders of Pattan town of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district Friday observed a complete shutdown to press the demand for attachment of incumbent Block Medical Officer Pattan.

All shops and business establishments remained shut while a large number of traders carried out a rally against the BMP Pattan.

The traders threatened to go for a hunger strike in case BMO is not shifted.

“Despite setting up building for Trauma hospital, the current BMO wants to use the same building for other purposes. Besides, this BMO is rude and misbehaves with everyone,” said protesting traders to news agency CNS.

The protesters alleged that BMO has destroyed the health institution. “Despite being a junior, this BMO rules the roost with the active support of some politicians,” they said and demanded the shifting of BMO from Pattan. (CNS)
