Jammu and Kashmir Police’s State Investigation Agency (SIA) carried out raids at several places in South Kashmir districts on Tuesday in connection with investigations into a terror case, official sources said.
They said the raids were conducted to probe the killing of a migrant worker from Bihar who was shot dead by militants in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district last month.
The case was initially registered at Bijbehara Police Station, and subsequently it was transferred to SIA Kashmir for further investigation.
“The raids are being conducted in three districts of south Kashmir,” the officials said.
