Karnataka CM-designate Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM-designate DK Shivakumar met Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra here on Friday.
Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar met both the party leaders and invited them to attend the swearing in ceremony scheduled to be held in Bengaluru on Saturday, sources said here.
“We want to invite all our senior leaders for tomorrow’s swearing in ceremony. So, we have come here to meet and invite them,” Shivakumar told reporters here.
Referring to the five guarantees as promised by the Congress party during the Assembly polls, the Dy CM-designate said, “We have to deliver. In the first Cabinet, we will implement it.”
Earlier, senior party leader KC Venugopal informed that along with CM, Deputy CM , a group of ministers will also take oath on Saturday.
In the recently concluded Karnataka polls, the Congress won 135 Assembly seats out of 224 constituencies.
