A soldier was killed in a landmine blast in the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Tuesday.
They said the incident occurred on Monday at Putaha Khan Gali in the Trehgam sector, where Havildar Zubair Ahmad of the 13 Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry was injured in the landmine blast.
He was evacuated to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries, according to official.
The Army has not issued any official statement on the incident.
