The separatist leader Syed Ali Geelani said that horrific rape of three year old girl in Sumbal town of Bandipora district is a black stain on social fabric and rich culture of Kashmir.

The Hurriyat (G) Chairman also lashed out at enforcement agencies for the handling of case.

“This incident is a black stain on our social fabric and rich culture. The bribery and poor sense of responsibility both in judiciary and police administration has left the galloping crime rate untethered because of the Kashmir issue,” he said in a statement issued here.

Referring to Kathua incident, Geelani said that the political interference in law enforcement institutions has infected and ruined the entire system.

He said there has been no justice yet to the victim of Kathau rape and murder. The incident has become the forgotten part of history and reflects the failure of our judicial and enforcement sanitations.

“Despite protests in Sumbal town, the police do nothing to deliver justice to the victim,” he added.

He appealed people to maintain the vigil on elements who try to tear apart the social fabrics of Kashmir.
