Top Army Officer Injured in Kupwara Gun Fight Succumbs

Srinagar: Commanding officer of army’s 41 RR who was injured critically in a gunfight in forest area of Manigah along Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district today afternoon succumbed to injuries in military hospital here.
A senior army official told GNS that two
soldiers including CO of 41 RR and a policeman received injuries in the encounter at Behak forest area in Manigah area of Haihama.
All the injured were evacuated to military hospital where CO Santosh Madhok succumbed to injuries.
