Ruling coalition wages war against employee community: KEA

The Legitimate Desk

Srinagar: Expressing serious concern over the JK Government’s “political vengeance” against its employees, the Kashmir Economic Alliance Chairman (KEA), Muhammad Yasin Khan today said the ruling coalition has waged a war against the employee community.

Khan who also heads the Kashmir Traders and Manufactures Federation (KTMF) said in doing so the government has cut its own arms.

Terming the termination of services of government employees as “unacceptable and despotic”, Khan said the wicked move is not only illegal but equally immoral.

“Termination of the government employees is the worst revenge a state can resort to with its employees but let one thing be clear to this oppressive regime that entire Kashmir, including Kashmir Inc stands by the victimized community in this hour of crises,” Khan said in a statement.

He said at a time when the ministers and other lawmakers have been grabbing salaries and other incentives for having done nothing expect unleashing worst ever humanitarian crises in the Valley,  in the past over 100 days,  how could the poor employees be subjected to revenge for being by the popular sentiment?

“Apart from sacking over a dozen employees, dossiers have reportedly prepared for hundreds whereas as per a latest news report salary of thousands has been stopped. This is classical example of war crimes meted on the government employees,” Khan said.

Asking people to remain united in this hour of crises, Khan asked various employees unions to hold joint deliberations with EJAC led by Qayoom Wani and other similar forums to chalk out befitting reply to the undemocratic and despotic act of the government.

“There is a need for joint consultative meeting of government employees with civil society including lawyers, media persons and business community,” Khan said. (PTK)
