Tral: A militant was killed in a gunfight with the government forces in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday.
A police source said that a militant, apparently a non-local, was killed in the gunfight that broke our early Sunday in Dar Ganai Gund village of Aripal area of Tral.
He said there was no fresh exchange of fire and that a search operation is underway at the site of the gunfight.
Local sources said that the house in which the militant was trapped was razed to ground by the forces through the use of explosives.
The identity of the slain militant was not immediately known.
