We must pledge to eliminate every terror threat to our Nation’s security: LG Manoj Sinha to Army officers

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday interacted with officers undergoing the Higher Command Course–54 from the prestigious Army War College, Mhow, during their visit to Raj Bhawan, Srinagar.

In a comprehensive and thought-provoking address, the Lieutenant Governor spoke on a range of critical topics including the evolving geo-political and geo-strategic landscape, India’s counter-terrorism efforts, and the importance of a whole-of-government approach in dismantling the terror ecosystem.

Emphasizing the significance of unified action, LG Sinha as per news agency KINS highlighted the need for inter-agency coordination, real-time intelligence sharing, and collaborative governance to effectively tackle modern security challenges. He commended the armed forces for their tireless dedication in safeguarding the unity, integrity, and sovereignty of the nation, particularly in sensitive regions like Jammu and Kashmir.

“I congratulate and thank the outstanding officers of the three services for keeping our citizens safe. We must vow to eliminate every terrorist and terrorist organization that threatens our safety, security, and prosperity,” the Lieutenant Governor asserted.

He also shared insights into several key reforms and initiatives undertaken by the J&K UT administration and security agencies over the past few years aimed at ensuring inclusive development, lasting peace, and socio-economic progress in the region.

The session was attended by Lt Gen Harjeet Singh Sahi, Commandant of Army War College, faculty members, and senior officers of the security forces.(KINS)
