Mian Altaf Ahmed, Member of Parliament from the Anantnag-Rajouri constituency, said on Tuesday that ‘we should pray for the Badhal Village situation amid unexplained Illness’.

Speaking briefly to news gathering agency KINS on Tuesday, he emphasized the need for collective prayers and support for the affected families. “Instead of issuing daily statements, we should pray to God for the Badhal situation,” Altaf said.

Mian Altaf Ahmed recently visited the remote village and met the victims’ families, offering condolences and expressing faith in the ongoing investigation to determine the cause of the deaths.

He had assured the families that he would take up the issue with the concerned authorities and ensure that justice is served.

He had however refused to say much on the investigation process saying that it could hamper the work of investigation agencies.

“I am sure our investigation agencies are working hard and things will be clear but I don’t find it appropriate to issue any statement on the investigation process,” the MP had said.(KINS)
