Srinagar: In yet another incident of domestic violence a woman was allegedly set afire by her husband in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
According to family members of the victim, she succumbed on way to hospital.
However, the police confirmed the incident and said that investigations are under way and the fire has been lodged against her in-laws.
Earlier, a 32 year old mother of two children also committed suicide after burning alive in Khanyar area of Srinagar city due to intense social pressures from her in laws. The incident is still under police investigations. The perpetual family homicide incidents in Kashmir are sounding the alarming concerns in social corners.
