Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) on Friday denounced the “continued and unabated killing spree”.
A JKLF spokesperson Muhammad Rafiq Dar in a statement issued to GNS said those pursuing the “just movement of national liberation struggle” are being targeted by Indian forces.
“India should read the writing on the wall that people of the state are not going to compromise until they achieve freedom for which they are rendering unflinching sacrifices,” he said, adding, “The Kashmiri nation in general and the party members of JKLF in particular are not going to surrender their right of self-determination.”
He appealed the international community to come forward to “save human lives” in Jammu Kashmir by resolving the Kashmir issue.
On behalf of the party leadership, Rafiq Dar expressed grief over the demise of younger sister of party’s acting chairman Abdul Hameed Butt. She breathed her last on Wednesday after brief illness. He prayed for peace to the departed soul and forbearance to the bereaved family.
Meanwhile, in continuation of protests by JKLF against Government of India’s ban on party and PSA on Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, a token protest was held in Mirpur, PaK, the spokesperson said.
The protest was led by party Dy. Secretary-General Sajid Siddiqi, Zonal President Dr. Toqeer Gilani, member Supreme Council Kh. Parvez Iqbal and district president Saad Ansari Adv.
It was attended by scores of party leaders, members and students, he said. (GNS)
