11th Class Students Demand Cancellation Of Board Examinations

Srinagar:  Scores of eleventh class students today staged a demonstration in this capital city here demanding cancellation of board examinations scheduled to be held this month.

Reports reaching news gathering agency Global News Service said that scores of students from different higher secondary schools this morning assembled at Press Colony here and staged a demonstration against conduct of exams under the supervision of state board of school education.

Carrying placards that read “We want justice” the students said that they were not ready to appear in the examinations since their syllabus was incomplete.

“For six months from March till August, we only complete one term. We want board exams to be cancelled. We want schools to conduct examinations not board,” the protesting students said.

The students said that for three months schools remained closed due to which they could not complete the syllabus.

The students said they can’t perform well in the examinations in such a situation. (GNS)
