3 residential houses damaged in devastating fire in J&K?s Shopian

At least three residential houses were damaged in a devastating fire that broke out in Jammu Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday.

Fire and Emergency officials said that fire broke out in the Adijan area around 12.10 pm in a residential house and engulfed to other nearby houses causing extensive damage to two single storeys and one double storey house.

Fire tenders were rushed to the spot from the Shopian town and other stations of the district to douse the leaping flames.

No one was injured in the incident, the officials said and added the cause of fire is due to electric short circuit.

Meanwhile Apni Party President Altaf Bukhar has expressed profound grief over the devastating fire incident at Adijan and urged the authorities to provide immediate adequate relief to the affected families and compensation for rebuilding the houses again.
