The state general secretary for youth Congress, Mir Iqbal said that they will hit the roads if the government will shift the passport office from Baramulla to any other place.

Talking to reporters, he said that Baramulla is historic and centrally located town in north Kashmir and best suited place for passport Kaindra.

“There is no question of shifting this office. Yesterday the Superintendent post office Baramulla in one of his statement said that we don’t have place in Baramulla and we are going to shift this office to some other place which led to the confusion and controversy among the people of North Kashmir,” he said.

He said that for every new institution and office govt has to create a place and nowhere places for the intuitions are built.

“Shifting office on the grounds of non availability of space is not justified and such statement by the Post office officer who is even not any stake holder in this matter is highly condemnable,” he adds.

He threatened that if there is any such attempt to relocate the passport office the people of Baramulla will come on roads across party lines.

“I warn govt for any such intention. We want govt to make passport Kendra functional in Baramulla soon so that concussion would be over.”
