DAK Condoles Demise Of Dr Mushtaq Lone

Srinagar, July 24: Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) on Tuesday held a condolence meeting at Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar to mourn the sad Demise of a noted physician Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Lone who breathed his last yesterday at SKIMS after a brief illness.

Paying rich tributes to the deceased, DAK members prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and expressed heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family.

Saddened over the death, DAK President Dr Nisar ul Hassan said that medical fraternity has lost a gem of a person in the demise of Dr Mushtaq. His death is a great loss and has resulted in an unbridgeable void.

“Born in Udipora village of Langate area in district Kupwara, Dr Mushtaq was a man of impeccable integrity. He graduated from GMC Srinagar and after completing his post graduation in medicine; he joined GMC as a faculty member and became head of the medicine unit at this prestigious health institution,” he said.

Dr Nisar said he was a compassionate and an empathetic doctor because of which he was very popular among patients. His contributions in the field of medicine will be remembered for a long time to come.

“His clinical skills were a treasure and are even now practiced by his pupils. Patients had faith and trust in him and they still carry his prescriptions and value them,” he said.

“He was a noble soul who always stood a helping hand to the needy and poor. He will be sorely missed by everyone whose lives he touched,” said Dr Nisar. (GNS)
