Continuing its efforts to get rid of from sub standard and adulterated food items In Jammu And Kashmir, the Commissioner State Food Safety (SFS) Dr Abdul Kabir Dar seized a truck loaded with expired oil containers in Srinagar at Hyderpora Alnor colony.

“After we received a tip off from some sources, I along with the team of my officials reached on the spot near Hyderpora highland motors and seized the truck,” said the Commissioner Secretary Dr Abdul Kabir Dar.
He said that the accused were likely planning to send back the oil deceptively filled in chemical containers to Jaipur for repackaging.
“There are more serious issues with the product in question pertaining to its labelling. The stocks have been seized and samples have been lifted for further course of action.”
To mention here SFS have launched a wide spread drive against food adulteration and sub standard products sold in the markets of Jammu and Kashmir.
The state is facing immense challenges with lots of unregistered and unrecognized companies selling products in the market.
“We are committed to ensure the availability of safe and standard food items to the people of state. Our drive will continue and all those who are involved in such mischievous activities have to face music or shut their shops,” warned Dr Kabir. Authorities Authorities Authorities Authorities
