NIA Summons Aga Syed Hasan In Funding Case Anjuman Calls Shutdown For Budgam On Friday

Budgam: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has issued a summon to senior separatist leader and president Anjuman Shari Shain Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi directed him to appear before the agency tomorrow.

The agency had conducted a raid at the residence of Agha Syed Hassan in central Kashmir’s Budgam district in September 2017 in connection with funding case. NIA is investigating the funding case in Kashmir registered on May 30 last year.

Many people from Kashmir including separatist leaders have already been arrested by the Indian investigation agency in connection with the case and have been lodged in Tihar jail in Delhi.

“National Investigating Agency has registered a case vide number RC-10/2017/NIA/DLI. It appears that you are acquainted with the facts and circumstances of the case.

You are hereby directed to appear before the Agency on November 2, 2018 at 10 am at Police Officers Mess, Humhama Srinagar in connection with  the investigation of the case,” reads the letter dispatched by NIA to Aga Syed Hasan.

Confirming that he has received a summon from National Investigation Agency, Aga Syed Hasan told news agency CNS that he has been asked to present himself before the Agency at Joint Interrogation Centre Humhama on Friday by 10 in the morning.

“It is move to harass and intimidate separatist leadership in Kashmir. Such moves are not going to break our resolve,” he added.

Meanwhile, spokesperson Anjuamn Shari Shian appealed locals from Budgam to observed a complete shutdown on Friday against what he called NIA diktat. (CNS)
