21 Bitten By Stray Dogs In Bla, Admin In Slumber

Baramulla: At least 21 people including woman and Children were attacked and injured by Stray dogs in Kantibagh area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday.

Locals told KNO that dozens of stray dogs roaming in Kantbagh area today morning attacked half dozens of people.

Panic gripped in the area when stray dogs attacked at least 21 persons including School going children and women. Some among the injured have sustained injuries in hand and legs.

 All the injured were taken to District Hospital Baramulla for treatment, locals said. However, patients alleged that the lack of vaccine at SDH hospital Baramulla created difficulties among patients who had to buy medicine from private clinics.

 Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Baramulla, Dr Bashir Ahmad Chalkoo told KNO that “we have already issued directions in this to the hospital authorities.”

 “There is no shortage of medicine in the hospital, he said, adding that he will look into the matter as to why the hospital is lacking the vaccine.(KNO)
