NIA Urges Patiala Court To Reject Parole Application Of Bitta Karatey, Says Party

Date:

Srinagar: National Investigation Agency (NIA) has urged the Patiala Court to reject the parole of JKLF (R) chairman, Farooq Ahmad Dar alias Bitta Karatey.

Pertinently, mother of incarcerated leader died on 12th December and applicant and his family members prayed NIA court to release him on parole to attend last rites of his mother.

Meanwhile, party chief patron barrister Ab Majid Trambu said the application moved by NIA has ‘grossly violated the human rights of the prisoners’.

“It was simply a religious and a sentimental moment for a person who wanted to see and offer last prayers to his mother,” he said. (KNO)
