Depression, anxiety are the most common mental disorders over the world and its prevalence has expanded during the past decades. According to several reports, Depression is portrayed by having these few basic symptoms.
One of the symptoms must be an overwhelming sentiment of trouble or a deficiency of interest and joy in most usual activities. There are Different symptoms that are related with significant depression.
Remember abatement or increment for craving, sleep deprivation or hypersomnia, psychomotor agitation or retardation, consistent fatigue, sentiments of uselessness or unreasonable and wrong blame, repetitive musings of death and self-destructive ideation with or without explicit designs for ending it all, and intellectual challenges, for example, reduced capacity to think, recurrent concentrate and take wrong decisions are some of the factors contributing to the symptoms of the condition.
How is religion involved?
There are a few convictions and practices in Islam that influence it follower’s emotional wellness. Islam presents clear suggestions about practices, ethics, and social qualities, which help Muslims to endure and create viable coping systems to manage stressful life.
We Muslims accept that there is only one Allah and depending on Allah’s power can assist them with settling their issues. These beliefs help us to tolerate stressful life events. However faith and belief in destiny helps people to accept bad situations and instigates a hope for better days.
Allah (SWT) has mentioned in Quran, I will open the doors of so many things for you that you didn’t even know existed. Not only in Jannat, but also in this world. (5:65)
If we become people who will spend life in the way of Almighty, He will drop worldly things which we need, on us like it’s worthless and if we’ll keep running after this world and after materialistic things. Even Allah (SWT) will keep these things away from us and even if we get them they won’t bring us any happiness.
The moment we change our minds and start living life by Allah’s book we’re going to see things we used to think were a big deal for us will drop in your lap; they’ll just come to us one after another. But in a spiritual process what values most is the patience, you should hold on to get the answers.
In the process you should never immune yourself as a big sinner but we should remember that almighty is the one, who washes away our sins if we truly ask for forgiveness or patience.
The main reasons behind why people are experiencing various sorts of mental issues is, as we all know that human body is comprised of soil and Allah (SWT) has favored us with numerous products which we get aberrantly from soil, but our soul has descended from heavens and we humans beings are attempting to fulfill our soul from worldly things.
But its incomprehensible no one can give pleasures to his soul if she or he is not connected to Allah (SWT) so it’s imperative to make associations with Allah. No one but he can fix our problems like depression and anxieties.
Apart, here are some important tips to over-come from depression and anxieties and having a better life:
1- Apply the easiest strategies
All you need to do is Just try to realize best steps which are simpler for you. I encourage you to begin with those. For e.g., getting up early in the morning might be easier for you than breaking the cycle of sin for e.g., turning into music or have haram relationship and so on.
2- Try not to surrender even if you fail multiple times
For example- if you missed fajr once more? I’m not going to disclose to you it’s fine. In any case, what I can let you know is that, don’t let shaiytaan get into your head and convince you to miss different prayers too. That is one of his clever systems. Feeling awful subsequent to sinning/missing a prayer is acceptable. It shows your internal conscience is as still alive.
3- Move on to the point when the negativity around you (regardless of whether in your group of friends, house, working environment and so on) becomes a lot for you to deal with, politely move up and leave. No one sees precisely what’s happening in your head, however you do. And if climate around you is getting stronger and making you anxious, or the sarcasm/contrary remarks/rude behavior/others people submitting sins etc is making you depressed, walk away.
Allah says in Quran “verily Allah does not change men’s condition unless they change their inner selves (13: 11)
Once you have prepared your mind to place things into perspective, your mind will begin reasoning with your heart. The leftover particles of dread of Allah in your heart will gradually set you up to change. And you may have better solution for the cycle of sin/ depression/ anxiety.
