Handwara : A 25-year-old postgraduate female student was attacked with acid by her neighbour in Palpora village of North Kashmir’s Handwara region inflicting serious injuries on her.
Police claimed to have arrested, Aijaz Dar, next door neighbour of the victim of committing this crime.
Family sources said that women suffered injuries on face and arm following which she was rushed to District Hospital Baramulla. Her condition is said to be stable.
Handwara’s Police Superintendent in a presser held today revealed that offender was following victim from few days and he took this step yesterday.
“Police will produce in court all proofs in next few days so that justice is not delayed and stern action is taken against the accused who has been arrested by the police in just 22 hours of the attack,” SSP Handwara Ghulam Jeelani Wani said
