In Qazigund, a vital transit point on the highway, authorities have ramped up security measures in response to potential threats and to maintain order during the upcoming national festivities.
Senior police officers are closely monitoring the situation in the district, with additional personnel deployed at strategic locations.
Increased surveillance, regular patrolling, and roadblocks are part of the heightened security protocol.
Speaking about the measures, an official stated as per news agency KINS, “Close vigil is being kept on the overall situation in the district, and senior officers are actively overseeing security operations to ensure a smooth and peaceful Republic Day celebration.”
