BJP Protests Against Security Withdrawal In Kashmir

The Bhartiya Janta Party, held a protest at Press Enclave in Srinagar against security withdrawal of political workers in Jammu and Kashmir.

BJP workers in a large gathering demanded the protection of its workers.

The protest was led by BJP state general secretary Ashok Kaul in the aftermath of killing of a BJP leader in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district’.

Kaul while being serious about the issue said, ”I will also not take any security till the same is not provided to other political workers as well.”

He said that a formal letter has also sent to the Additional Director General of Police Security Wing Kashmir. In the letter they have demanded that till fool proof security is not provided to all the BJP workers ‘he as general secretary will also surrender the personal security till the demand is not met.

Kaul also said that he had personally approached SSP Anantnag and SHO Verinag, for not to remove the security of BJP worker Gul Muhammed Mir.

Mir was shot dead by unknown gunmen at his residence in Kokernag.

Later, Kaul boarded a three wheeler with no security and also the protesting workers dispersed peacefully.
