Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become the second most followed politician globally with a huge social media audience of 110,912,648 which goes over 110 million of followers on the platforms including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
This was revealed in report Published by SEMrush, which is an online visibility management and content marketing SaaS platform.
The most followed politician globally was former US president, Barack Obama, who has 182,710,777 on his Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.
With the new reports in place, the Indian Prime Minister has overtaken US president Donald Trump. Trump has only 96 million followers globally. However Trump is the second most followed politician on Twitter.
Fernando Angulo, Head of International Partnership said this in a statement, ”The popularity of PM Narendra Modi is immense and the study finding depicting him as the 2nd most followed person globally after former US President Barack Obama is a culmination of this fact.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi gained 12 million followers from Facebook, Instagram and twitter.
Out of all the social networking sites twitter serves as the nest of the maximum number of political audiences, both domestic and global, says the report by SEMrush.
