The officials on a specific information in the past had conducted many raids inside jails in different districts and seized mobile phones from the prisoners.

The installation of harmonious call-blocking system will make jails more secure as well as fool proof. The government has now given a nod for installation of a harmonious call-blocking system in all 14 jails for blocking 2G, 3G, and 4G signals. Srinagar Central Jail and Kotbalwal jail Jammu are the biggest jails in J&K.

In this modern era there are lot of gadgets which are being used by the high profile prisoners to get in touch with outside world and at times despite the fact that jails are now a days more secure than past years. However latest electronic gadgets always are threat to the jail security and there have been many instances when mobile phones were smuggled inside jails, even during raids the officials recovered mobiles from the cells and rooms meant for prisoners.

Now a days as the militants also use latest electronic gadgets so it was mandatory for the jail security to adopt foolproof system. With the installation of this new system the jails in J&K will become more secure and no more conspiracies could be hatched from inside jails.
