The Legitimate Online: China has launched two of its satellites for Pakistan, satellite — PRSS-1 and PakTES-1A — from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China at 11:56 am.

Since, China’s launch of PAKSAT-1R, a communication satellite, in August 2011, satellite-PakTES-1A, is another space cooperation between both the allys, developed by Pakistan, which was sent into orbit via the same rocket, said the state-run Xinhua news agency.

Pertinently, the PRSS-1 will be used for land and resources surveying, which will further enhance quality of monitoring of natural disasters, agriculture research, urban construction and providing remote sensing information for the Belt and Road region.

Collectively, this is the 279th mission launch of Long March rocket series, hence the first of its kind as international commercial launch for a Long March-2C rocket in nearly two decades after it approved Motorola’s Iridium satellites into orbit in 1999.
