Top Officials Denied Entry Into Public Darbar In South Kashmir

Bijbehara: Top officials from South Kashmir faced humiliation after they were barred from attending the public Darbar called by Khurshid Ahmed Ganaie, the advisor to Governor in Bijbehara town of Anantnag district.

Reports said Khurshid Ahmed Ganaie, the advisor to Governor had called a public darbar to address the grievances of common people in South Kashmir.

A large number of people with grievances attended the darbar at Dara Shikwa Park in Bijbehara.

Eyewitnesses told CNS that some top officials who were supposed to be present in the public darbar were denied entry by security officials.
These officials including Medical Superintendent Sub District Hospital Bijbehara, Chief Medical Officer Anantnag, AEE, R&B and others were seen sitting under the shade of a chinar tree in the local park after denied entry by security officials.

“We were invitees and supposed to remain present, but security men asked us to stay away. We found it difficult to persuade these ‘arrogant’ security men,” said an official wishing anonymity.

These officials in one voice said that they faced humiliation and they regret why they arrived here. (CNS)
