While taking a jibe at PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday, BSP Chief Mayawati said that BJP’s ship was sinking.
She tweeted, “Prime Minister Modi government’s ship is sinking, and even the RSS has stopped supporting them. In view of unfulfilled election promises and the public agitation, their Swayam Sevaks are not being seen putting in the work; it has made Shri Modi nervous.”
Prior to this, a couple of days before the duo differed with sharp criticism against each other over alleged atrocities on schedule castes.
PM Modi on Sunday had lashed out at the Bahujan Samajwadi Chief. He said that, “She” (Mayawati) was shedding crocodile tears over an alleged gang rape in Rajasthan’s Alwar. PM challenged her, and said if she meant those, then she shall withdraw her support from the Congress party in place.
Earlier, protests were observed across the Rajasthan state against the rape crime, whose victim was a married woman. The husband of the victim said, that she was raped on 26th April, the police was informed on 30th of April. And reportedly the FIR first information report in the case was launched on May 7.
While reacting back to these allegations from PM Modi, Mayawati said that PM Modi was doing dirty politics, and asked from him for his resignation for the atrocities his ruling party has committed on SC.
Mayawati has also made requests to ECI for putting a ban on candidates for temple trips. Also, BSP has urged ECI for monitoring and finding out the amount of money spent on the road shows during the election campaigning.
The Lok Sabha polls have entered the last lap of phase 7 with voting date scheduled on May 19th.
