A fierce encounter erupted between a group of terrorists and security forces in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Jammu based Defence spokesman said that based on hard intelligence a joint operation was launched last night, contact has been established on Thursday evening.
“Encounter is in progress and further details are being ascertained while additional forces have been rushed to the spot,” he said.
Meanwhile sources said that terrorists ambushed two Army vehicles in Savni area on the Rajouri-Thanamandi-Surankote road in which three jawans reportedly got injured but official confirmation is awaited.
