Continuing its drive against illegal mining, Police in Ganderbal seized five vehicles involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of minerals from Nallah Sindh.
The vehicles were intercepted within the jurisdictions of PS Kheerbawani, PS Gund, and PP Nagbal. Cases under relevant sections of law have been registered and investigation is underway.
Police stressed that these decisive actions, taken in collaboration with the Geology & Mining Department, highlight their determination to curb the menace of illegal mining. Locals have been urged to share information on such unlawful activities, with an assurance of complete confidentiality.(KINS)
