Srinagar, May 27 (UNI) Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti on Friday said she was shocked that no one from the administration visited the Tik Toker and television artist Amreen Bhat’s family, who was killed by the militants in Budgam on Wednesday.

The former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, who visited the family for condolences, said, “Amreen was the sole breadwinner and hope the government takes her circumstances into consideration and extends help.

“Visited Amreen Bhat’s family. Shocked to know that no one from LG admin has bothered to visit them. A sole breadwinner, she struggled to make ends meet. Hope the govt takes her circumstances into consideration & extends help,” she posted on Twitter.

Talking to media persons after the visit, Mehbooba alleged that the ‘Muscular Policy’ of the Central government was responsible for the day-to-day killings in Jammu and Kashmir.

“Whether it is Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhat, Shoib Ganai, Policeman Saifullah Qadri or our daughter Amreen Bhat, it has become a day-to-day affair to split the blood of innocent people in Jammu and Kashmir,” she alleged.

“It is due to the muscular policy, pressure and high-handedness of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Central government, which is responsible for all this. Rather than bringing the situation to normal, it is getting worse day-by-day,” she added.

According to Mufti, “The Narendra Modi Government is misleading the world about the situation in Jammu and Kashmir by saying that everything is all fine in Jammu. Nothing has been right in Jammu and Kashmir, the blood of innocent people are being split daily…people are being killed on a daily basis.

“Unfortunately, the BJP government at the Centre is considering Jammu and Kashmir on the security and religious basis. As this is a Muslim majority state, let them die in any way,’ she added.

The former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister said, “I feel that this way, the situation will never improve, rather deteriorate.”

She added that Amreen was the bread earner for her family, who was looking after her aged father…she was earning her livelihood through making the Tik Tok videos. “I think to earn for the livelihood is to be killed… a martyr,” she added.
