Int’l Community’s Silence On Kashmir Will Only Worsen Situation: LeT

Date:

Srinagar: Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief Mehmood Shah has paid tribute to slain militants Muzzamil, Aamir Tantray, Awais Lone, Aqeel Rasheed and Mehnaz Mir for displaying “utmost bravery” during the 12-hour-long fight with forces.

“Indian forces are facing resistance from every brick and corner in Jammu Kashmir, equally from freedom fighters and stone pelters,” LeT spokesperson Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi in a statement issued to GNS quoted Shah as saying.

Shah said the “dead silence” maintained by the international human rights organizations will only worsen the poor plight of the situation.

“If people’s patience is lost, it will be worse for Indian forces,” he said and thanked the people of Kashmir for their “utmost support and being the front runners in the indigenous freedom struggle”.

“Your utmost love, harmony and support to the martyrs, is a proof that freedom is not far away,” Mehmood Shah said.

Terming the October 27 as ‘Black Day in the history of Jammu Kashmir’, LeT chief said, “India is jeopardizing peace in South Asia. The world will never believe in the promises of United Nations if it remained speechless on the martyrdom of our children.

The Kashmir conflict is a matter of human lives and the only way to ensure peace in the region is exit of India from Kashmir.” (GNS)
