Iran's IRGC Aerospace Chief warns US of 'decisive response' if aggression continues

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Commander Brigadier General Seyyed Majid Mousavi said on Wednesday that if the United States oversteps and commits any act of aggression, the IRGC will respond decisively and without geographic limitation, striking “wherever the people instruct.”

This warning from IRGC comes after US President Donald Trump announced an extension to the Iran ceasefire, as he continues to blockade Iranian ports, until Tehran submits a proposal for talks, and “discussions are concluded, one way or the other”.

Brigadier General Seyyed Majid Mousavi delivered these remarks in a message addressed to the people of Iran, who have filled streets and city squares for more than 50 days in support of the armed forces during what has been described as the third imposed war.

In a message addressed to the Iranian public, Mousavi issued a stark warning that any post-ceasefire aggression against the Islamic Republic would trigger a forceful response, while also praising what he described as sustained nationwide support for the armed forces during more than 50 days of public demonstrations.

He emphasised that IRGC units remain on full alert even during the ceasefire period, describing them as combat-ready and “prepared to defend this ancient land and its thousands-year-old civilization,” while cautioning regional actors against facilitating any attacks on Iran from foreign powers.

“Your children stood beside the missile launchers for forty days and nights, revealing the arrogance of global powers. And during the period of military silence (ceasefire), they remained alert, hands on the trigger, prepared to defend this ancient land and its thousands-year-old civilization,” he said in the message that was broadcast across city squares.

He reassured the public that IRGC forces are completely prepared to defend the nation against any potential enemy aggression.

“Today, we stand before you to declare our pledge: if after the ceasefire the enemy crosses the line and commits any aggression against this land, this time our target will be wherever you direct us,” General Mousavi stated.

He also delivered a firm warning to regional countries against cooperating with the enemy.

“Let the southern neighbors understand: if their land and resources are used by America to attack the Iranian nation, they must say goodbye to oil production in the West Asia region.”

Iran has insisted that the unlawful naval blockade must be immediately lifted by the United States.
