JK Admin Provide Conditional Internet Service To 80 Companies

The administration in Kashmir valley allowed 80 companies to use internet services amid tight conditions. The companies who signed the given agreement shall be responsible for any breach of the agreement and are instructed to follow the laid guidelines.

 According to agreement signed by the companies, they are not allowed to access the social media websites. The companies are also restricted to upload any picture or video from the allotted Internet Protocol addresses.

The internet services allowed for these companies is to be used for the official purposes and are bound to cooperate with the security and intelligence agencies whenever they seek the data.

The internet services in Kashmir have been shut on August 5 when Union government abrogated provisions of Article 370 and nullified Article 35 A.  Only the government departments, security agencies enjoy the internet services presently.  The services for newspapers have also been shut and administration has set up a common Media facilitation centre for journalists with limited access.
